Marissa grew up in Imperial, NE. It’s a small town in the southwest corner of Nebraska. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 2011 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX in May 2017.
Marissa has always been interested in the medical field, as her dad was a physician. When trying to decide what specific field to pursue she decided on physical therapy because she thought PT sounded like the most fun. She enjoys treating patients experiencing dizziness, have balance issues, or patients that limitations with their spine. Ultimately, Marissa just enjoys treating all patients and assisting them in achieving a better quality of life.
Marissa loves being a part of the Wind City team due to the variety of patient’s she can see and there is a new challenge every day. She also shares our passion in regards to giving back to our community.
When not working Marissa loves to travel, specifically learning about the history of the area, learning about the culture, and trying new foods. She also enjoy swimming, hiking, reading and a good movie.
